Fundraising
The PTA at P.S. 145 plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students. Funds raised by the PTA are directed towards several key initiatives. One significant area is the support for teaching assistant programs, which provides additional classroom help and individual attention to students. Additionally, the PTA offers a comprehensive Chess program for students from Kindergarten through fifth grade, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The funds also supplement classroom libraries for Dual Language Programs, ensuring a rich selection of books. Furthermore, the PTA helps subsidize after-school programs for families in need of financial assistance, ensuring all students have access to valuable extracurricular activities.

PS145's annual online auction is not only our largest fundraising event of the year—it's also a thrilling opportunity for adults to engage in some friendly competition and come out as winners!
The funds raised are crucial, fueling an array of important initiatives like PS145 Scholarship Programs, Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS), celebratory events such as 5th Grade and Pre-K Graduations, Mother/Father and Grandparents Day, movie nights, and festive school holiday potlucks.

Staff Experiences
Perhaps the most fun part of this event is bidding on all of the great experiences our stellar staff offers the kids! From Rock Climbing with Ms. Varya to Slime Making with Ms. Castillo to Crack an Egg on Mr. Spence's Head to Principal for a Day...each of these experiences create memories like no other for both our students and staff alike.
