SETSS
At P.S. 145, our Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) program is dedicated to providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. Our program focuses on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can achieve their full potential.
1
Individualized Instruction
Tailored lessons designed to meet each student's unique learning needs, helping them to progress academically and develop essential skills.
2
Small Group Sessions
Students receive personalized attention in small group settings, allowing for targeted instruction and support in areas where they need it most.
3
Collaborative Teaching
Special education teachers work closely with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach, ensuring that students receive consistent and coordinated instruction across all subjects.
4
Comprehensive Related Services
In addition to academic support, students have access to speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. These services are integrated into their daily routines to address their holistic developmental needs.
5
Inclusive Environment
Our goal is to create an inclusive classroom experience where students with special needs learn alongside their peers. This promotes social integration and mutual understanding among all students.
6
Regular Assessments
Continuous monitoring and assessment of student progress ensure that instructional strategies are effective and adapted to meet evolving needs.
7
Family Engagement
We believe in the importance of involving families in their child's education. Regular communication and collaboration with parents and caregivers are key components of our program.
